Welcome to the www2cd project homepage!

www2cd is a GPL-licensed web browser interface to Linux CD recording software. It simply enables you to record CDs using only your browser! You just have to select the source directory and in a few minutes you get your brand new CD toasted! www2cd enables you to easily convert MP3 files to audio tracks, record data, audio and mixed type (data + audio) CDs or copy CDs (also the mixed type ones) with one click!

www2cd requires:

1. a working environment:
   
   
   • an HTTP server
   • PHP version 4 or 5 compiled with --enable-sockets
   • Perl 5
   
   
2. CD recording software:
   
   
   • cdrtools: cdrecord, mkisofs, cdda2wav
   • mpg123
   • inetd (included in all typical Linux distributions)
   
   
3. system utilities:
   
   
   • mount
   • umount
   • eject
   • cp
   • rm
   • dd

Installation:
Unpack your www2cd distribution by typing e.g. tar -zxvf www2cd-0.99.tar.gz and follow the instructions in the INSTALL file.
